First look at what others are doing (or at least saying!)

I didn’t expect to make another post today, but I decided to Google this blog’s title and came across this management presentation to investors and prospective investors in Whole Foods Market: New Business Paradigm. Towards the end it gets into some of the values I’m aiming for, but I’d frankly like to do MORE de-emphasis on stockholders than they do and MORE emphasis on participation in the local (regional, national, global) community than they do. It’s NOT that I don’t recognize the (probable) need for investors, it’s just that, in my idealized world, we can attract investors who have a personal goal of supporting our values and are willing to sacrifice some (not all) ROI in support of that goal.
